The SUNTAT Thread Dough (Kadayif) consists of ultra-thin strands of wheat dough, traditionally used to prepare the famous Turkish dessert Kadayif. The dough is layered, filled with walnuts or pistachios, baked until golden, and then soaked in fragrant sugar syrup. The result is a crunchy, syrupy delight full of authentic oriental flavor.
Apart from the classic recipe, these dough threads are perfect for experimenting with your own creations – try them with different nuts, spices, or flavored syrups for unique variations.
Preparation Tip

Mix 400 g of dough threads with 200 g melted margarine

Place half in a baking tray

Sprinkle with chopped nuts

Cover with the remaining dough and bake at 200 °C until golden

Pour over hot syrup (5 cups sugar, 3 cups water, 4 drops lemon juice)

Let it soak for 1 hour
