Small but mighty!

Chickpeas are well suited as a side dish, but also as a puree, for soups, stews, casseroles and salads. They are also perfect for making chickpea puree (hummus). It is made with cooked and mashed chickpeas, grated sesame seeds, water, lemon juice, garlic, oil and mint.

For example, chickpeas are formed into small balls that are baked, deep-fried or fried and served as falafel.

Chickpeas are low in fat, high in protein, fiber and a variety of vitamins and minerals.

Store cool and dry.
